The Weekly News

The World of Biblical Israel

Saturday, October 26 | 11:00 a.m.
Fellowship Center

All church members and community are invited to a POTLUCK BRUNCH and Video Series from The World of Biblical Israel. The first of the four part series will be “Three Weddings and a Funeral” (no, not the Hollywood movie of the same name) which is about arranged marriages during the times of the patriarchs.

Potluck Brunch will be from 11:00 am to 11:45 am. The video and discussion will follow. Our program will conclude by 1:00 p.m.  Sponsored by Women’s Fellowship for the benefit of all.

Christmas Shoeboxes

The shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child are now available in the Narthex or church office. Each box includes instructions on what to include and not include for children around the world.
Filled boxes must be returned to the office by Nov. 20. If you would like to participate, but cannot pack your own shoebox, you can write a check for $34, which includes $9 for shipping, to FHPC with “shoebox” in the memo and the Committee will build the shoebox for you.

Spiritual Art Project

To complement this year’s Stewardship Campaign, all friends of FHPC are invited and encouraged to take part in a Spiritual Art Project which will be unveiled in the Sanctuary on Consecration Sunday, November 17. This is how you can help: more than 500 origami doves are required. It may seem a bit overwhelming at first glance, but once you have made a couple it becomes quite easy. 8.5″ x 8.5″ paper is available at church or cut your own from white printer paper. A step-by-step video can be viewed here (skip the ad) or click here for a printed version. Write a prayer on the paper before folding (either side) and MAKE A LOT! The more doves, the better! Please return doves to the church office or call Carol Skewes and she’ll pick them up.

BLUE crayon: A Broken Cup – My Cup Overflows
October 1st | 1:00 p.m.
Fountain View Village’s Assisted Living Activity Room
Check us out! Our study is from “Broken Crayons Still Color” pages 73-80 with coloring page. In our society, do we too often look for an instant fix? Between the cocoon of the caterpillar to the adult butterfly, the chrysalis is a wait-out period of development. We, too, must wait out our Master’s intent. Instead of feeling needy and seeking approval from others, turn to Him for an outpouring of His living water. Only He fulfills and guarantees a renewed, driven purpose in life.
Afternoon Circle is held the first Tuesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. at Fountain View Village’s Assisted Living Activity Room.

View Our Worship Services

Are you away from Fountain Hills or homebound and unable to attend worship at FHPC? Would you like a friend or family member to be able to hear the message from one of our services? Thanks to Ron Waldo, our Elder who oversees technology for FHPC, our 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. worship services are now being video recorded using Facebook Live. This puts the service on the FHPC Facebook page and anyone to “stream” or view the service on their computer or phone, as it is happening — or later on, at your own convenience.
You can connect to FHPC’s Facebook page directly by clicking here.  Facebook members can login and “like” the broadcast, BUT — you do not need to have an account on Facebook to watch.
As an alternative to going to Facebook, you can click “Worship” on this website menu, or go the webpage  Here you’ll have the option to connect to the FHPC Facebook page, watch videos of previous services, or listen to previous sermons.
