Your attendance will keep this unique and meaningful service a tradition at FHPC.

Mission Challenge from Men’s Bible Study

This past fall, the Thursday morning Men’s Bible Study Group decided to pick a mission program to support. The program chosen was FREE THE KIDS, a program that was already ongoing and designed to help children and their families in Haiti. Our local connection is Jack Reynolds. We each agreed to donate $1 (or more) per week. Now, we would like to extend an invitation to each person in the congregation to set aside $1 per week and give it to this program. You can give weekly or when the chance arises. Put your dollars in an envelope marked “Free the Kids” and put it in the offering plate. If you want more information about the program or how you can help, click here or contact Jack Reynolds and look for brochures in the Narthex.

To raise funds for their service/fellowship trip to California in March, the Youth Group will “Rent-A-Teen” to members of the FHPC congregation. Need help around the house or in the yard?  Call on our Youth Group to help you and in return, make a donation to support their trip! Call/text Tim Schlum at 480-436-0412 to schedule a “Rent-A-Teen” meeting sometime in the next two weeks!
FHPC Youth Group students will leave for California on Friday, March 20th for a weekend of fun and service. We will partner with Christ Pacific Church, an ECO Presbyterian Church, which will lodge our group for two nights, joining efforts in a couple of service projects like feeding the hungry and assisting homeless people. Mixed in with our service projects we will also enjoy a day at Disneyland! On Sunday morning, we will go to church and then to the beach where we will be doing baptisms in the ocean.
It’s going to be a very impactful trip, but it’s a trip that costs $6,700 and we’ve only raised about $2,200 so far and have to raise the remaining $4,500 by Thursday, March 5th!
Thank you all for the support in the past we really couldn’t do it without all of your support. God Bless!

Save Nothing for the Next Life (Chapter 2 pages 17-30, 203, and 211) in THE LAST ARROW  by Erwin R McManus. The “Power of Now” intrigues us. God effortlessly does the impossible through ordinary, common people like us. Alongside Him, we face our battles/conflicts and discern when we need to settle and when we should never settle. Copping out is not an option. On the fun side, we’ll sign valentines to hand our loved ones. God’s Love lives on in us!
