Many of us were captivated by the dedication and perseverance of Jack Hughes in the Gold Medal Men’s Hockey Game. In the third period Hughes took a high stick to the face that knocked out two of his teeth. A penalty was called and Hughes went to the bench. His next shift he was back out on the ice. He played every shift after the injury, including overtime where he scored the winning goal. After the game Hughes, with a gap in his blood-tinged smile, said “It was all for our country.” The Goal

Come see the “Infancy Gospels” from “Lost Christianities”. We will share a potluck lunch. Maria Berry will bring the “ Nag Hammadi Library”, which contains some of the Coptic Gospels and writings, including the Coptic Gospel of Thomas. She will also bring the book by Bargil Pixner, “With Jesus in Jerusalem”, which has an important detailed map of Jerusalem from the time of Jesus. Pixner is a Benedictine monk and archeologist who has done a lot of research and we’ll talk about his version of Mary. Men and women alike are invited to this event sponsored by Women’s Fellowship.
