FHPC Support of First Responders’ Christmas Tree – June 17th Deadline

Police officers, firefighters and paramedics put themselves on the front lines of dangerous and traumatic events, and it’s common to wonder how you can thank these individuals, perhaps lessening the emotional burden of their work. FHPC has received a request from former mayor Linda Kavanaugh, a good friend of FHPC, and her ad hoc committee to support the F.H. First Responders’ Christmas Tree. The plan calls for a 15-foot blue-lighted artificial tree to be placed downtown during the holidays to recognize and thank all first responders who engage in public safety for our community. This simple gesture would do wonders for first responders’ morale, as well as, demonstrating public unity/support for their tireless dedication to safety.

Members and friends of FHPC are encouraged to support this project and make checks out to:  “First Responders Christmas Tree” and mail/drop off at the church office.  The Mission Committee will gather the donations and send them in bulk around June 17. By grouping the funds in this manner will show that our church supports community projects. This is not a contribution to FHPC and there is no tax deductibility issued.
